I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, the men in my life provided sage wisdom. Whether it was my grandfather, father, a neighbor, or even my first boss, they always had some quip or short saying that really summed up a life lesson. A couple of examples include, “don’t pee into the wind,” or “treat others the way you want to be treated.”

If you’d have told me all those years ago that something as insane as having kids would also change over time, boy… I’d probably believe you. But still, it’s been an interesting experience… Here’s how some fatherly milestones looked for each of my kids.
What does it mean to raise your son to be human?
We all love, we all cry, we’re all motivated by something, and we’re all scared of something.
We just show it in different ways.
